On behalf of the current acting Committee for Ext 0 and its incumbent  portfolio Committees the problems identified pertaining to Electricity blackouts in our area are indeed annoying - more so to the honest users of this important source of energy. But I would humbly hasten to mention that the existing problems are huge and complex. Thanks to the previous Committee for going out of its way by taking a concerted effort, by having meetings with Eskom officials to have this perpetual problem resolved. And correspondence to that effect is attached, as proof to that endeavour. Once again many thanks for a job well done…

The current interim committee would have loved to have the community meeting this week, but as we all know that the Easter Weekend is almost upon us, the Committee has decided to reschedule the meeting for the 8^th of May as they deem this day to be most appropriate. Rest assured the issue will be revisited in that meeting as it will be one of the items comprising the Agenda.

So, for now we will certainly appreciate it, if we all remain cool and calm until a meeting on date mentioned has taken place. Immediately after that meeting, an official notification will be sent out advising of the resolution taken on the matter i.e. those who attended or never attended the meeting.

May we all have a blessed and a safe Easter, as we prepare ourselves for this memorable and honourable day, in the calendar of our year.
